My name is Miranda Foster. I grew up on a small holding surrounded by goats, chickens, ducks, rabbits, cats, and have never been without a trusty hound in the house. I live in Cheltenham with my husband, my three grown up boys (when they’re around!) and my beloved Elsie the flat-coat retriever.
Whilst my boys were growing up, I spent 12 years working as an early years Teaching Assistant at a local primary school in Cheltenham. I loved my time there with the children, but felt after a long career it was time for a change. I handed in my notice and started to consider what it was that really made me happy.
My decision to become a dog walker
Whilst walking with my beautiful Elsie through the Cheltenham hills one evening, I realised that being out in the Cotswolds air with my Elsie dog was all I needed to be happy – and if I could welcome a few more friends into the pack for her to play with then that would be all the better. After being employed at the same place for such a long period of time, the decision to start up my own business was definitely daunting – but I can now look back and say it was one of the best decisions of my life!
What started with Dog Walking soon became Doggy Daycare and long term Dog Sitting. Since then, the whole family have gotten on board and love befriending your dogs – really making our house a more happy and relaxed environment. My three lovely sons, Alex, Frankie and Arthur, all think my career change has been the best thing ever. Your animals couldn’t be in more loving hands here with our family, and we can’t wait to meet you!
I am fully insured and licensed by Cheltenham Borough Council to walk and board your pets, and I rent and manage a 30 acre area of countryside land in Cheltenham – perfect for walking. The services I offer include Dog Walking, Doggy Daycare and Home Boarding.
